
Benjamin Swain, baritone
Benjamin Swain, baritone (he/him) holds degrees from Louisiana College and the University of Denver. With the Louisiana College Opera Theater, he portrayed Antonio
(The Marriage of Figaro), Dr. Gregg (Gallantry), Vogelsang (The Impresario), and Bob (The Old Maid and the Thief). After joining the University of Denver's Lamont Opera Theater in 2022, Benjamin starred as The Pilot (The Little Prince) in 2023 and Demetrius (A Midsummer NIght's Dream) in 2024. Most recently, Benjamin sang Danilo (Die lustige Witwe) and Baron de Pectordu (Viardot's Cendrillon) with Ball State Opera Theater.
In 2023, Benjamin made his European debut as Papageno (Die Zauberflöte) with Berlin Opernfest. He returned to Europe in 2024 to sing Conte (Le nozze di Figaro) at the historic Estates Theater with Prague Summer Nights and reprised the role later that summer with Berlin Opernfest.
Beyond the stage, Benjamin was the soloist for Vaughn Williams' Five Mystical Songs and served as the soloist cover for the composer's Dona Nobis Pacem with the Lamont Symphony Orchestra.
