Auditions begin in January of 2025.

All musicians are hired per production for anywhere from 9-10 (pit) or 20- 30 (chorus) services depending on the opera in question. There are 4-5 mainstage productions per season.
Except in extenuating circumstances, principal strings are expected to perform all productions in the season for which they audition.
Choristers are hired per production, but preference is given to those who commit to all productions in the season for which they audition.
Lead, supporting, comprimario, and cover roles are hired at a flat rate per production, not per service.
Emerging artists-in-residence are under a separate annual contract with the company. Announcements about opportunities for these residencies will be included in our notifications.

While we currently lack some production details, it’s important to begin preparing for our debut season as soon as possible. Our first step involves virtual pre-screening auditions for singers in January and February 2025. We will hold in-person auditions by invitation for singers and pit musicians in the spring.
